The Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario has as one if its goals, (as set out in the Professional Geoscientsts Act, 2000), to develop standards of knowledge and skills among its members. APGO has established a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program to achieve these aims. APGO's CPD Committee is committed to regularly reviewing the Association's CPD requirements, the programs and members' feedback.

Ontario geoscientists are highly trained professionals who play
an exciting and pivotal role in exploring for and developing mineral,
oil and gas resources; protecting groundwater, developing infrastructure
plans, cleaning up contamination and finding safe locations for
hazardous wastes. Throughout this site you'll learn more about geoscience
and the role APGO plays in regulating professional geoscience practice
and protecting the public.

Amendment to Regulation for PLI CofA - ACTIONS REQUIRED TO INVOKE THE PROVISION
The APGO Media Release of January 5, 2007 advised that APGO’s Registration Regulation has been amended to allow for an exemption from professional liability requirements for holders of an APGO-issued certificate of authorization.
