With all the current talk about quality of coverage, policy restrictions, high deductibles, and costly premiums, you may want to check out the affiliate program providers to the professions of engineering and geoscience as an alternative to your current insurance arrangements.
Through membership in the APGO you are eligible to participate in the range of affiliate insurance and financial services programs that the national umbrella organization for professional geoscientists (CCPG) and engineers (CCPE) has negotiated on your behalf, with a range of national insurance providers. The program, which is sponsored and administered by CCPE, provides value-added benefits to engineers, geoscientists, and their families.
The quality of the products compares advantageously to the marketplace. Services currently include:
Over time, new services are added to the packages or providers can change as more favorable arrangements are negotiated. To ensure you are up to date with the latest services, please check the Member Services Section in the Members Only Area of the APGO website, or go directly to the Services Section on the website of CCPE - the program sponsor.
As APGO members, we are fortunate to be able to join our colleagues in the engineering-only and the combined discipline associations and avail ourselves of these worthwhile national programs. Remember, the range, quality, and value of services that providers can offer are directly related to uptake, so your participation and efforts to encourage fellow member participation, is key to the future and success of the program. Take a look.
