The PDAC is pleased to announce that a new insurance program for independent geological consultants, from sole practitioners to professional consulting firms, will be introduced, starting February 1, 2007. The program is designed exclusively for PDAC members. The new program will include comprehensive, affordable errors & omissions liability and property insurance for geoscientists. It will be offered through Partners Indemnity Insurance Brokers in partnership with Chubb Insurance and Echelon General Insurance Company. The insurance program will cover: professional errors & omissions; commercial general legal liability; property and transit insurance; directors’ & officers’ liability; kidnap and ransom; non-owned aircraft; and special event insurance. Full details of the insurance will be posted on the PDAC’s website, www.pdac.ca, in January 2007. Thanks to second vice president, Scott Jobin-Bevans, for organizing this new program for members.
