About the Industry and Industry Contributions explain how the oil and gas industry works and what benefits it offers Canadians
Working in Oil and Gas, Your Life / Your Career and Find a Career that Fits You allow users to explore career options in the industry, provide descriptions of compensation and introduce Canada's major oil and gas communities.
Education, Training and Safety lists sources of training and education for the careers described.
Search Jobs leads users to job search websites with current job listings specific to the oil and gas industry.
Tips & Services provides tools and information pertaining to job hunting, CVs and interviews.
This is your opportunity on the landing page captures attention with an animated sequence that invites users to interact with it, introduces them to people working in the industry and leads users to various pages on the site.

We want to emphasize that the value of this website is in its goal of helping meet the long-term and ongoing labour needs of the Canadian oil and gas industry. Thus, even though some sectors or companies may be currently operating at reduced capacity, demand for skilled workers will continue, in both our industry and others. It is vital that we remain enthusiastic about interesting people in the oil and gas industry - particularly youth, who will not be joining the workforce for a number of years - so that when our industry needs to ramp up, it has the skilled employees it needs.

The Petroleum HR Council recognizes that a good website is never finished! Updates and enhancements to the website will be ongoing. To that end, you are invited to provide the Petroleum HR Council with any feedback you may have, now and in the future.
