APGO Launches Pilot Mentoring Program

The APGO is pleased to announce that we will be commencing our Pilot Mentoring Program this March 2015. There was a call out six months ago for volunteers and we currently have a small number of mentors and mentees to initiate the program. Starting small will allow us to closely monitor every step of the process and determine whether or not we can sustain the program over a longer period of time given the current staff resources that we have. We will also survey participants about their experience and get their feedback on what works, areas to improve and resources that will be helpful to them. The trial consists of matching the mentors with the mentees based on industry, expertise and soft skills.

While the number of participants will be limited at this time, members who are interested to participate in this program should contact Marilen Miguel at mmiguel@apgo.net. Your name will be included in the participants' pool and you will be required to complete a profile. Should we reach the maximum number of pairs that we can match for this pilot program, your name will be placed on a waitlist.

APGO would like to thank members who volunteered to participate in this pilot program. We also acknowledge APEGA and APEGBC for providing insight in to their Mentoring Program and for generously sharing some of their resources with us that we can use as reference in developing our materials.
